Turning the old into new in the town of Newberry

AWHS Architects and Planners of Greenville are excited about their new addition to their client list. They
will have the pleasure of designing and overseeing the renovation/restoration project of the historic hotel of
Newberry. The two-floor hotel will house twenty-seven suites that will feature antique furniture, a large
wardrobe unit, and claw-foot tub. Upon entering the hotel to check-in, the original desk that was used in the
old bank of the hotel is now the main front desk located in the lobby. The total square footage of the hotel
is 24,716 SF, there is a dining area, commercial kitchen, retail shops, and a courtyard for outdoor
dining/entertainment. If these interior features do not take you back in time, the Ice Cream Parlor and
Fudge Shop, renovated back to it’s original design exudes nostalgia. The Ice Cream Parlor/Fudge Shop is
1,705 SF, holds fifty-four (54) seats, and display cases.
